Sleep Science, Technology and Economy - Golden Triangle for Future Healthcare

Luisenstrasse 55, 10117, Berlin, Germany.June 1st , 2025

Dear ISSTA members and friends,

In the 2025 World Sleep Congress in Singapore, the ISSTA “Sleep Science, Technology and Economy Symposium – The Golden Triangle of Future Healthcare” is scheduled on Monday, Sept. 8th between 13:45 -16:45 in room 325 of the venue: Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre (1 Raffles Boulevard, Singapore 039593).

We sincerely invite you to participate this meaningful symposium.

We’ve been continuing the ISSTA APEC Sleep Technology Agenda (https://www.smrv-journal.com/article/S1087-0792(18)30168-0/fulltext) by organizing symposia on sleep technology and health economics based on science and medicine in World Sleep Congress with extraordinary colleagues from ISSTA and from academia and industry globally in World Sleep Congress starting from 2017 in Prague, 2019 in Vancouver, 2022 in Rome, and 2023 in Rio de Janeiro.

A short recap for you, the topics of these symposia included:

1.       ISSTA Sleep Science, Technology and Economy Symposium(https://ws2022.abstractserver.com/program/#/details/sessions/411)

2.       "Value-based sleep: Global and health economic perspectives". (https://ws2022.abstractserver.com/program/#/details/sessions/319)

3.       “Sleep Science, Technology and Economy Symposium - Golden Triangle for Future Healthcare in the morning of October 22th (Sunday) on World Sleep 2023 official website: https://ws2023.abstractserver.com/program/#/details/sessions/344

The continuing growth of sleep science research, sleep medicine services and sleep technology development, and strengthening on the ability to define, demonstrate, and maximize value for patients, payers, and the public would be our short-term goals. These symposia seek to advance knowledge regarding the health economic aspects of sleep, to bridge the academia and industry, and to provide clinical and field evidence for the government sectors for legislation from global perspectives. In the modern economic climate of increasing costs on one hand and limited resources on the other, the topic of “Sleep Health Economics” (which is the topic of my DrPH dissertation in the Department of Health Policy and Management, Bloomberg School of Public Health, Johns-Hopkins University) and return-on-investment for sleep-related investment is highly important.

We sincerely invite you to join this ISSTA “Sleep Science, Technology and Economy Symposium – The Golden Triangle of Future Healthcare”.
